International Paging Overview
Interpage's International Messaging and SMS Gateway facilitates instant messaging from e-mail, web servers, alarm systems, numeric paging/DTMF access numbers, and other points of origin to nearly any mobile phone or pager worldwide.
Just as US/Canada customers
may use Interpage as a single point of access to message cellular telephones, Blackberry and other wireless PDA devices, alpha and numeric-only pagers in the US/Canada, Interpage's International Gateway Service offers an analogous messaging system to facilitate messaging to devices outside of North America. Although the modality of transmission to locations outside of North America differs from US/Canada delivery (and indeed can differ from country to country), the gateway dynamically accommodates messaging traffic to the given destination system(s), transparently to both the sender and recipient. The gateway can thus be utilized as a single point of dissemination for traffic to nearly any country worldwide, using the interface and command codes as are employed for North American-based messaging devices.
Enterprise International Gateway: Businesses, web integration providers, and other commercial customers requiring International messaging capabilities may utilize Interpage's Enterprise Messaging Gateway, which functions identically for all destinations, both in the US/Canada as well as to all devices outside of North America.
Personal International Gateway: Individuals requiring e-mail and web-based notification to mobile phones and pagers worldwide may opt for one Interpage's International Personal Paging Plans.. These plans generally do not require that the destination mobile phone have data capabities or subscribe to a data plan, and resultantly are not likely to incur data usage charges on the given subscriber's phone. Messages arrive as SMS messages and generally do not accrue carrier-based per message or data usage charges.
-Personal/International 001: US $10.00 per month with a one-time $10 set-up fee. All messages are billed at $.25 per message. Web-based and telnet scheduling, filtering, and configuration menus may be accessed to personalize and manage an account.
-Personal/International 002: US $20.00 per month with a one time $20 set-up fee. 100 messages per month are included per month, after which additional messages are billed at $.25 per message. Web-based and telnet scheduling, filtering, and configuration menus may be accessed to personalize and manage an account.
All Personal International plans offer an e-mail address in the format userid@interpage.net and/or automatic POP Mail retrieval of messages from one or more POP Mail servers. When mail is received via either method, it will, based on the user's given schedule/filter settings, send the message to one or more mobile devices specified by the account holder.
(For US/Canada Personal messaging plans, please see the Personal Paging page for details.)
DirectPage: Customers who wish to replace their numeric pagers with a mobile phone(s) or who wish to have numeric pages sent to more than one device and/or e-mail address may utilize Interpage's DirectPage(sm)
service. DirectPage is a related service which offers customers with pagers and/or mobiles based outside
of the United States/Canada a local phone number in their own country which can notify customers on their
mobiles, pagers, and/or e-mail, with both the Caller ID and Caller Name, if available. Numbers in most countries worldwide are available.
